Green for All seeks a video production intern to edit and post videos.

The video intern's main task is to produce and edit short videos for the National Day of Action on September 27, 2008: Green Jobs Now! A Day to Build the New Economy.

The intern will also rom the hours of footage gathered at The Dream Reborn conference. Green For All hosted the conference in Memphis, TN on April 4-6th 2008, to commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. King on the 40th anniversary of his assassination, and to build the movement for an inclusive green economy (see www.dreamreborn.org for more information).  We have hours of amazing footage that we want to disseminate and share as soon as possible, through short, engaging, informational videos.

Responsibilities:
* produce and edit short videos for the September 27 Day of Action: Green Jobs Now! A Day to Build the New Economy.
*edit and post short videos that highlight key moments from the Dream Reborn conference (eg. 5 minute highlight reels from some of the most memorable speeches).
* edit and post a highlights video of the entire conference.  This video is intended to convey the feel and energy of the conference, and the key principles of Green For All's vision and work.  This video will include the best footage from the weekend: musical acts, amazing speeches, video attendees sharing their dreams for the future, the vigil to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Dr. King's assassination, and more!  It will be short (10-12 minutes), engaging, inspirational, and informational.
* update the video content on Green For All's youtube page and web site.

Desired skills and qualifications include:

* proficiency in Final Cut Pro
* experience editing videos
* basic understanding of and interest in the work of Green For All and the movement for green-collar jobs
 *self-motivated, able to work with limited supervision AND able to work well in collaboration with others
* strong listening and analytical skills

Location:
This internship is based out of our office in Oakland, CA.

Compensation & Hours:
Part or Full time, depending on the most qualified candidate's availability. This is a volunteer position and is uncompensated. A small stipend may be available for work on the Day of Action.
